Another boring Friday. Only an hour to go then time to get the hell out of work.
What is your job, mate ? Why are you so unhappy with it ?
Well, except only a few luckiest persons, most of them are somehow unhappy ... there are some factors which makes us unhappy, dissatisfied .... but those are mainly maintenance factors, not directly related with the job. But the job itself can motivate us ... or demotivate us .

Where it problems you, mate ? If you can share with us ... may be that there is a way out to feel good.

Biggest problem is no one is here on Fridays. Its kind if like an overflow day. Its not a 5 day week for most of the people. It gets boring when I get done by 9am and have to hang around until afternoon "just in case".

Just in case ... your replacement doesn't come ... or you need to provide more service ? Well, if it is the condition of the job, you have no way but accept it . Spend this time as best as you can. As you can, at least come to the forums ... all your friends are here It will be a nice timepass !!

Your customers may be dumbasses (must remember that one) but they do keep you in a job. :)

On this side of the pond, unemployment is becoming a real problem, particularly among the younger generation who are short on experience.

To give you an example, 50% of young black people are without a job, universty graduates can't find work of any sort and people over 50 who fall out of work stand little or no chance of ever being employed again.

I know it sounds like I'm preaching, but be grateful for what you have because you'll sure as hell miss it if you lose it.

Oh, i'm grateful for what I have, but some of our customers are getting to the point to where they don't know what they need until it's too late. Then somehow they think it's OUR fault that they run out of stuff. We can only send them what they order, and no one wants to have inventory anymore, so they go until they are almost run clean of inventory, then call us and say "oh, we need this by morning or we are going to have to shut down".
Well, tough crap, it doesn't work that way. They know that. Once it's too late, it's too late. Should have let us know sooner.
The "just in time" system of ordering stuff doesn't mean last minute, it means figure it out so you know what you need, when you need it, and have it planned already.
2 customers in particular are really bad, they ran themselves out of parts on Thursday, and called us and said they were out, and that they need some. Told them their forecasting isn't worth a crap, so oh well, nothing we can do about it. Quit being such tight asses and figure out what you need ahead of time so this doesn't happen.
