    Yes it was.
    With additional constant blockage in my left ureter I got what called as hydroureter dilated by force. All those junks should be given continuously until the pressure is released by surgery (got 2 days queue). All I can do was just lying down counting the ceiling squares. I also got to receive additional drugs to deal with headache and nausea as an effect of those narcotics. But believe me if it injected to healthy people, they will choose to die instantly..

    That was what happened to me 3 years ago on my right ureter. Rushed to the ER, got morphine shot and ketorolac, hospitalized for 3 days, and ride my bike home freely.

    ~~~~~~~
    This morning I was able to ride my bike like saying hello to the whole people in town. Happy now, like it was before.
    Wow, Jerry...!
    Hell what made you spent 111 days straight at the hospital?
    I myself work in hospital but never have such patient except in critical care unit.
    I bet you were becoming the part of hospital staffs social life then. :)
    I had a motorcycle wreck and I broke my neck C6/7(I am paralyzed from the chest on down with arm and hand movements but no finger movement), the first week and a half I was in ICU and had surgery, the rest was in rehabilitation learning a new way of doing things.
    And yes the hospital staff almost felt like family after a while.
