    Today, is ANZAC Day.

For those who don't know, it is a day of remembrance that we honour the Australian and New Zealand forces that fought at Gallipoli in World War I. It now also broadly commemorates all soldiers who have died in peacekeeping operations and military operations for their country.

So, thank you to all the veterans who have fought bravely and the soldiers who are still fighting.

    Lest we forget.

Today I'm hatching out a cold which I got from one of my friends. My nephew and his father are visiting over the weekend, so I hope they don't get the bugs! Also had a meeting with my PhD supervisor a short while ago. Need to revise some points of my introduction, then I am "free to go ahead", as she said, and can hand in the whole thing next year in summer. I was thinking of spring, but that might be too early; but next year is definitely the ultimate deadline for me, otherwise I'll sprout roots on the campus ;-)

...and we all know how much you will miss the campus and all your little creepy-crawlys.

Sprout roots on your campus and you will end up with termites.

At my sister-in law's wedding reception tonight.
Me towards the left, my wife at the right side and the newly wed couple at the centre.
