    Being just old enough to remember her being a pop star, then on top of the world, and then the landslide straight to the bottom, it's kind of scary.

    I don't want to say that it's "typical" but it does seem to happen a lot. She had a history of really bad habits, and seemed to straighten out, then relapse many times.

    She was great at one time, and it's just sad how downhill her life went after reaching the very top. So much talent, and dead at such a relatively young age.

    alcoholism and drug abuse have no social boundaries.

    what is sad is the death of a relatively young woman and a waste of talent she clearly had at one time,
