    I seem to remember Charles de Gaulle once saying he wanted all American GIs off European soil.

    He was then asked if that included the ones buried there.

    General de Gaulle was a real European who would not put up with all the BS that came from overseas and from across the channel. Too bad he died so early. The EU would look different today if he had been around long enough.
