Yeah well I have been saying this all along and I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer and I have never been flamed - well once - for putting down my thoughts and theories like I have elsewhere.

In fact I have learnt more than just computing in here also a lot of human nature too, and the lengths that all of you have gone to help me out. All of you have been so patient with an old impetuous frat like myself (don't like to swear too erm much:))

Have some good friends in this place. I don't know how I found it but I am sure glad that I did - thanks to you all for putting up with me as I know I am a bit slow on the uptake at times and I do go on a bit, and also especially poor old Shawn has gone to great lengths to get me back on track ( don't know how he does it to be honest).

Again thanks I have to say I do absolutely appreciate it.

You are "preaching to the Choir" as they say Vincent, but it is nice to hear. Everyone here gives of their time and abilities here freely. Each in their own manner. It is quite simply, the best forum on the net. A Guy

    Eh, I've seen better.

    ^^^ That is a joke! ^^^

Thanks, Vincent, and all the others who replied. Too often in life people only ever take the time to complain. There are a lot of good people here who deserve a big pat on the back. :)

I am 60 years old and got my first computer 3 years ago. This place has been a joy and revelation to discover and learn from. I find the lack of ego and one-up-manship very enlightening and refreshing. I am a somewhat accomplished musician, and the music forums that i drive by are sometimes more bother than they're worth. A heartfelt thank you to all the volunteers. Cheers!

Thank gawd I am not the only oldy in ere then LOL! I agree rusty although I have been computing since about 1982 it wasn't until retirement loomed - yippee!! that I got a tad more serious. Though I am not that cluey with the apps and file managing stuff I do like the hardware side though my best mate keeps me well informed (as do some of the other really patient folks!).

I have to add to what I said earlier that I have made more friends in here than any other forum and yes it's a real pleasure to boot of a morning or whenever.
