How many people here are going to migrate to Windows 8?

I for one am *probably* not

Reason is because I have everything set "just right" in Windows 7.

Windows 8 to me looks more like a tablet OS - but I have not actually tried it so I might be being a bit cynical.

    Just wondered about other people?

    Thanks

I already have. Aside from Metro I like it alot. Just take a look at the new features like the new task manager, etc.

In its current state there's no way I will consider Win8. However, should they make a few changes here and there, I might consider it.

Problem #1: If you're using a desktop computer, the OS should look like it was made for one and not for a tablet (or cellphone).
#2: give users the ability to get a classic (Win7 more specifically) feel without the need for a 3rd party app.
#3: WTF were they thinking getting rid of the start button? As in #2, give users the ability to customize to their liking without having to download a buggy 3rd party app.
#4: Metro - need I say more? I don't have a tablet. Why are you pushing a tablet OS onto desktop and laptop users?

I could go on, but these are the top reasons I won't be using Win8 unless MS makes a few improvements / changes. and even then it may not be a guarantee.

We are barely passed two years on the Win 7 opening day sale. Win 7 is the best OS made so far. Why leave after two years?

I'm happy with 7, so I'll not be changing to 8.

There's still another two years or so before Microsoft drop support for XP so 7 has got loads of life in it yet and is, I consider, Microsoft's best operating system.

    Nope.
Only way I would have windows 8 is if I bought something with it pre installed, like a tablet in the future.

I can't say whether I will or not as I've not had a look at the preview yet, but as I like to be always up to date there is a possibility that I might, that is if I can afford it.
    I haven't voted as there isn't a box for don't know yet.
