Is this Forum in Real time ?

When I post a Thread, do I just leave this Forum page open and wait for replies ?
I know that some answers come later. (like) the next day.
So, I've got it set that I am notified by email. But sometimes there are people online and viewing my enquiry.
I am assuming it's not Real time, and I go through a complicated process of closing and reopening the Forum page in order to get the latest reply. ( I know it can't be right..)
Also, when I get a reply that I want to reply to, there may well be several other replies, that are listed (and that I am not ready to respond to ) in the mix.
But I don't know how to reply to the one I choose, because the Post Reply button is at the bottom of it all.
So, what I'm saying is, I don't know to whom I am replying.
So I need a bit of basic advice as to how to use this Forum correctly.

You can stay in the the Thread and Refresh/Reload the page to see any new posts.

You can click on Quote to respond to a specific post within a Thread.

    hope this helps

I see that the thread is marked as solved - but may I may suggest two links?

This one shows you threads that you started or posted to...
...you can refresh it from time to time

This one is pretty self explanatory:

also if you keep the page open for a while to wait on a response the click the refresh page button regularly to see any new posts.
to see all your threads easily and see if there is a new post ,then click the "quick links" link at the top of the forum page and select " my active threads"
this also applies to posts you have made in someone else's thread. using the "threads i posted in" link in quick links.

And yes this forum is in real time, as it has members from all parts of the world it is real time for them when they are posting but it could be several hours ahead or behind or even the next day for others that you see.

    Weird wording, strange cadence.
I know that Today is yesterday for some, and Tomorrow for others albeit the same time ( and yet not..)
It is a peculiar world, is it not ?
