    Bill, you're a star.

Now when I get home late from the pub at Sunday lunchtime I can tell the boss where to stick my dinner because it's cold!

Whether I will is another story!
Have a comfy couch do you?

i'm lucky enough to have well water where i live.

whenever i drink tap water elsewhere it tastes yucky - must be the chlorine, fluorine and other government mind-control stuff in there...i always feel like conforming and buying more consumer products when i drink it...

although thinking about it a bit more, who knows what's in the well water??

Well, if there is or ever was farms around there, the pesticides and other crap they pour on the crops all seeps down into the aquifer/ well water. Yum! Is your teeth or hair falling out, yet? Look at me, see what long term exposure to well water does to you.

...and it's still better than our city water.
When I lived on the farm, the water was great.
I think one of the big things that makes water taste better, no matter where it comes from, is how cold it is. At least for me.
If it isn't really really cold, I don't like it.

Very cold is suppose to be bad for your teeth. However, some of us no longer have to worry about that. I've been buying bottle water for the last 20 years. When I lived and worked in Yosemite National Park for 5 years, I did like that mountain water. Hard to get used to anything else after having that.

I've often wondered why people spend £2 on a bottle of Evian water until I discovered that if you spell Evian backwards it reads naive.

Bottled water is sure expensive in the UK! Drink beer, instead. I buy mine water at Costco, 36 bottles for $6.00 total. I drink 3 cases per month. So. $18.00. A small price to pay for safety.

Everything is expensive in the UK!

Mind you, we notice a difference every time we visit the US. These big multi-nationals have us over a barrel really and can charge what the market will bear.

I visited there in 1973, while in the US Army. Prices were high there... even back then. Don't know a whole lot about world economics. I do know we are a world economy now... whatever that means. It will only get worse as the developing nations need more, and more resources. And the world population rises.
