Why does thIs water taste so good?

So I took some tap water, boiled it in the tea maker thingy and then Put some in a cup and put in in the refrigerator. Later I took it out and drank it and it felt so good I thought It was some kind of drug in there and I drank the wrong water but no it was the same. Idk how it could taste so good but did and I don't even like water that much. Anyone know why this is happening?

Boiling it distilled it. If you have a lot of minerals in your water they may have been reduced during the boiling process.

Or maybe you were just thirsty. That always makes water taste 100X better.

Don't think boiling distilled it. Distilled would be recovering and condensing the water vapor produced from the heating process. What's left in the pot are the impurities that were in the water to begin with.

But, just by heating that water, you do remove dissolved gasses that could contribute to the unappealing taste you usually experience...

But cold beer really is better for you. Very refreshing.

You must be Irish. Here it is in the aftermath of St. Patrick's Day and a little green dude is telling us how fond he is of a drink...

    Conundrum on its way:

Why is it I can drink 8 pints of beer without any problem, but water has me stumped after the first glassfull?

    Bill, you're a star.

Now when I get home late from the pub at Sunday lunchtime I can tell the boss where to stick my dinner because it's cold!

Whether I will is another story!
