Why Would Anyone Say That Women Talk Too Much?

Hulu - Onion News Network: Woman Sets Record for Longest Amount of Time Spent Talking About Oneself

Somehow, I rather understand why she was hit in the mouth at the end.

It is more noticeable for me than most, because the complex that I live in has predominantly elderly women residents. There is one lady that lives diagonally below me that talks continuously from dawn to well after dark on her patio with who ever happens to be at hand. The only break that I get is when it is too cold outside for her, or the air conditioning finally comes on, so that I can close the patio door, but even that doesn't block her cackling from penetrating my bedroom window, and makes it more difficult to sleep. I suspect that even when she is inside, she is burning up the telephone lines. This is not a shot at all women, because I have known some that are particularly quiet, but they seem to be the exceptions.

Funny how they always want you to be quiet when there's something on telly that they want to watch (usually soap operas ), but as soon as something comes on that you want to watch, you end up that you can't watch it because you can't hear it.
