Custom built PC, some lame processor (if I thought it was lame it must have been AMD) I think it was running less than 1 GHz, it had 128 MB RAM, 6GB harddrive, and the videocard sucked so bad that It didn't support a resolution better than 640x800! Although my monitor was 1280x1024 though. A Fat monitor it was... Also it was mega noisy. Horrible. Crashed every 30 minutes. It ran windows 98. Later we put it an XP. It had no CD, floppy or USB. It sucked even for net browsing. it was also second hand. Dad got it so I could learn on it. He knew i'd **ck it up real bad in the end. It didn't last more than 2 years. Then we got my other PC (which is AMD 2.1 GHz, 512 ram, ATI x1250) which I also began to get bored of real fast. Still, It lasted it's 5 years, as planned. Now I jumped to four core and HD. I'm sure I'll want a new PC In 5 years or so still... But long time 'till then! Right now I'm very happy!
HA! I never even noticed that before.........(when floppy disks were still floppy - and spelt with a k)
My first PC is the one i'm using right now! I'll save my fingers, see system specs!!
I want to build my next PC, gotta wait till this gives up though. It's impossible to upgrade the damn thing.....apart from RAM of course
Well my first PC was in 1998 and it was a Packard Bell, it had a 2.1GB hard drive and I can't remember if it was 32 or 64 MB of RAM, it came with Windows 98 and a 14" monitor.:)
My first was a Packard Bell circa early to mid '90s. It had dosshell. Purchased from the Lawton, OK Monkie-Wards. Hey, I played some sort of sims and chess games on it, and at least figured out the "word processor" function enough to be able to successfully make a professional looking warrant officer application packet.
My I've come a long ways.
