Mac users have the same problems

Out of curiosity I was browsing one of the Mac forums. I know nothing about Mac, but the problems they seem to have sound very familiar. Have a look: Mac OS X Forum and Discussion - CNET Forums

My girlfriend was forced to use iMovie and final cut pro on a mac pro with dual quad core xeon's to edit a couple of videos for one of her classes last spring break. Not having anything better to do, I went with her and took my laptop to play some games and what not. So much for OSX being stable... 5 hours later after 3 kernel panics, 2 random freezes, and a failed network login she was done. My laptop ran without a hitch.

I recently bought an iMac and it was returned within a week because it just didn't.

    Work, that is. :)

It was slower than my grandson's tortoise.

I'm now back with my trusty PCs and I'm happy.

MAC is now using more components that are more similar to basic intel pc setups this is in part why their insane prices are starting to get wrangled in a little bit. (still higher but no longer consistently 2 to 4 times the cost of equiv)
Suddenly now that they are trying to push a performance product they find they are having all the same problems. It's really not a big surprise or anything.
If they ever get a large enough chunk of the market they'll also quickly find out they are no more immune to viruses than pc's are. It's just no one wants to put the effort into making a virus that only has the potential to affect about 8% of 'the net'... and that's potential, reality is likely a much smaller percentage than that.

To be perfectly honest if I was a Mac fan I wouldn't want them to get any more popular than they are about right now. Because once they do most the reasons for choosing them against a PC will disappear.

I will never understand why there are people that think macs and all other Apple products are perfect. You should have seen when I updated my ipod touch 4g to iOS 5. That thing was so slow and the battery life was HORRIBLE beyond belief. Even on their latest iOS versions, the performance is still lacking, as well as the battery life. Luckily, I have a way to downgrade to 4.3.3 As for the Mac, I have booted up macs at bestbuy and they don't start up any faster than pcs. The only thing Macs are better than PCs at is shutting down. They shut down in about 2 to 3 seconds on the Macbook Air. My PC boots up faster than all of them with an ssd. It is probably more stable and secure than them anyway.

I have a modified motorola triumph (modded to 4g and no don't ask me to tell you how)

No complaints about it at all, it replaces the need for pretty much any other portable device. Granted I will always take along a laptop if I think I'll be doing some typing.
    Vastly prefer android...
    Vastly.
And it replaces ALL that other stuff. Camera isn't even that bad, wouldn't use it to take someone's wedding photos or anything but it's alright.

...and if you feel so inclined you can have yourself writing basic little apps inside of a week
    the language is super simple.

Someone should send me a Mac to use/learn/test so I can be more versatile...Well should send me one so I don't need to do this: And yes that is Mac OS X Lion running in VMware...not the fastest thing in the world on my lousy computer..but eh the network works (finally!) at least.
