Geeks Are the New Rock Stars
It's good to be a geek these days, according to a recent survey from Modis. Rather than being depicted as social misfits, geeks are now perceived by the general population as highly intelligent, resourceful professionals.

It's hard to get taken seriously when people keep associating us with this kind of thing.
Edit:
For what it's worth, I have this image printed out and hanging over my desk in the IT department. Gogo gadget self-fulfilling stereotype.

Ya know, I just eyeballed the questions on that survey... and I'm not getting that feelsgoodman.jpg vibe I thought it was supposed to be giving geeks.
Modis.com survey said:
"I personally define a 'geek' as someone who...
...Is socially awkward." ~ 56% (!!)
45% of geeks admit to using a (device) while driving.
82% of geeks say the top device they would most have difficulty living even a single day without = tv
Totally cherrypicking here, but the conclusion I'm getting from those is that geeks are socially awkward people, irresponsible drivers, and addicted to the idiot box.
