Windows 7: Firefox 3.1 beta 2+µtorrent WebUI 0.361

Firefox 3.1 beta 2+µtorrent WebUI 0.361

Firstly , anyone using this combination?

If so, has anyone been able to download a torrent by dragging it to the taskbar:

I can access and control existing torrents, but every time I try to start a new d/l, it tries to open µtorrent on the local machine and not the remote one.

Have I missed a step, or is this one of the limitations because it's not yet supported in 3.1?

probably a limitation of Fx 3.1 - I am not sure how this works, so I'll have to take a looksie at it...

If I understand correctly it is a Web based UI for a utorrent on a *remote* machine?

3.1 breaks things - a lot of things.

Do you still have 3.0.x installed? try it again in there to verify something else has not broken....

yep. My remote machine just sits there downloading/seeding. I add torrents from this machine via dragging the torrent link to the status bar in the corner and control the torrents via a tab once the the WebUI is enabled in the remote machines µtorrents preferences.

It's worked a treat in F3, but since I had to install with Nightly tester Tools in the beta, no downloads. Just access.

This machines local web based tab:

No, I went straight with the beta. FF3 non-beta isn't installed. I'll install it now.

Installed the non-beta FF3 and the WebUI works as it's supposed to. It must be a computability issue with the beta.

Is anyone here using this release? I believe that as the Beta number increases in value the number of crashes should drop in direct proportion to that increase. Mozilla has found a way to increase the number of crashes with every Beta release. Mozilla should focus more on their main product and...

Bad crash yesterday on torrent beta - virus?
I was all set to do a fresh install of the Official Microsoft Download RC - new drive and everything. Yesterday my computer crashed hard. The screen was frozen and apparently it was in the middle of an AVG scan when it happened. Auto recover wouldn't work. System restore wouldn't work. ...
