Fuddruckers! Man, I really miss their burgers. They had really good buns, and yes, the mustard. :)

I had forgotten all about them. They had one back in VA when I lived there and they were awesome. Never seen one here in OH.

The best I have had. As of my last visit in 2004.
    Sit down restaurant.
IMO better than Fuddruckers and we had both in the New Orleans area.
They have gone up only $2 since then. Not bad for a half pounder and a side. Killer potato salad.

Wendy's is not a bad burger but have some good fries.
I usually get a double stack(mini burger) small fries and a free senior drink for less than $3.00.
They do have a great apple/pecan salad with chicken. Wife loves that one.
So for $7.26 we can have a decent meal. Beats my cooking!

We live 20 min from The Times Grill in Mandeville and I like the Hamburger Steak with grilled onions. Always packed when we go there. They expanded this location a few years ago to twice the size and still packed.

I figured you were familiar with them.
We always went to the one in Slidell. The old train station I beleive.
It was always packed even on weekdays. Best to try to squeeze in about 2pm between lunch and dinner crowd.

I was born in Slidell. Miss the food, miss the culture.

Going slightly off-topic, where I am we're only familiar with the following fast food chains:

    The Big Two:
    - McDonald's
    - Kentucky Friend Chicken

    Then there's:
    - Pizza Hut (iirc the same corporate group which owns this franchise here also owns the local KFC franchise as well)
    - A&W (been around forever but they have very few outlets)
    - White Castle (haven't seen these since the 1990s, are they even still in business?)
    - Subway
    - Burger King (somewhat recent only, and very few outlets)
    - Wendy's (ditto BK, but even less known)

I'm sure I'm missing several (eating at local establishments is cheaper), those are just the ones I can recall off the top of my head.

One other thing, here in Southeast Asia we have a culture of eating 24x7, these fast food chains may be big fish but there are plenty of other fish in the pond as well. Hungry at 3am? No problem, there will be literally dozens of eating places open for business. The only stuff that may be hard to find at ungodly hours would probably be the "niche" stuff, like say cuisines of specific nationalities.

Gotta say though, you guys sure have plenty of franchises:

Started reading this thread just out of curiosity. Now I'm starving. It's 12:36am CDT, I'm at work, can't leave for another 7 1/2 hours. Thanks, y'all!!

We have one about ten miles down the road from me. Seems like you either love them or hate them. I'm in the "love them" camp, myself. :)
