Workbench 3.1
Windows 7, OS/2
We all know the virtues of Windows 7 I think, but how many remember OS/2? It was a joint venture between IBM and Microsoft but MS pulled out to pursue Windows 95. OS/2 came out well before Win 95 and it was very good. If there had been more software support it could have given MS a run for their money.
I used OS/2 until "The Internet" became hugely popular, then I had to switch to Windows 3.1 for the networking. It felt like a such a step backwards...
I don't really have a favorite per se, because each is suitable for very different tasks. Out of the Windows lineup, without question, Windows 7 has been the most stable and reliable OS for me.
DOS 6.22 and windows for workgroups 3.11
But I do prefer windows 7 and running my dos and wfw 3.11 in a virtual pc environment.
The windows can access the internet also

My first favorite MS OS was Windows 2000. Very stable and I could still play all my old games. I stuck with that for quit some time but eventually moved on to XP. At the moment my all time favorite would be Windows 7. I started with Dos 6.2 and Windows 3.1. I skipped ME, and Vista on my way to Windows 7.
