Good luck to all those affected.
Wolfgang, I apologize also.
I didn't have my brain in gear.
I've been noticing as we get closer, the NWS is modifying their forecasts that winds will be N, steady 26 to 31mph with gusts to 50-70mph, and to be alert for Tornadoes.
If you mean the Grantham where Messiah College is located, that is about 14miles South of us here in Enola.
It is a very nice location all year round.
I would like everyone to know that I have been in conversation with Wolfgang, and I am hoping it went well.
About my last post, my only excuse is that it was a long day. In the future I shall endeavor to govern myself, accordingly.
It is 4:50am EDT as I write, and we are getting a little rain, so far since 8pm there has been 0.16” of rain and winds are out of the N @ 9mph.
There is a High Wind Warning, and Flood Watch.
Our worse time is projected to be from 2pm today (10-29-12) until 8am Tuesday.
For Firebird,
It says 4 Miles NE Dillsburg PA, but zoom on the google map twice, and you'll see Grantham : http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick...98982686767579
I'd like to thank all the members that have posted since my last visit, I have read and agree with all that has been said.
The calm before the storm.....

Steve, Grantham is south of the big metropolis of Dillsburg. My brother's mailing address is Mechanicsburg. He can hear the cars racing at Williams Grove from his house.
Weather channel report, as I write this, is only light rain.
My sister in Harrisburg went all out, buying batteries, water, a battery powered aerator pump for her aquarium, etc.

It is really strange how this storm is flying a curve over land. Why could'nt it stay over the Atlantic. That's too bad.

I hope I don't lose power. Lost power for 5 days last year at this time.
08:30 Monday 10/29/12: Winds stronger, Rain heavier and steady. So far, just a storm and it looks as though Sandy will pass though here without making too much trouble.
