Jack, I agree with Gary. Our comments were not at all directed at you.
Regarding the poles. They make good fences, enclusures for large outside planters. Hillholders for gardens on a slope, etc. That was the usage for the old railroad ties in the Germany in the 70's when those were replaced with concrete ties.
That would be another area of improvement the American railroad system would need. Modern trains like the TGV that go at 570Km/h cannot run on tracks from the civil war. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Layg7...eature=related
