yew Bill I find the lack of specs a real obstacle too nice to know what security or chipset etc etc it is you are working with.

    Hi F5ing
Thank you for your help... from an earlier post somebody had said to reboot Firefox and and it might help so I did that and then the link was able to open for me to see the tutorial...

Everything is fixed now except for one little problem, Winmail is now downloading duplicate emails, other than that it is working good and I appreciate your help very much.

    Thank you,

You're most welcome! Glad to hear you found the problem.

Maybe it's time for a new thread anyway, to deal with your duplicate mail downloads.

Thanks F5ing, yes, maybe I should start a new thread about the double emails (although it is not difficult to delete them) it is a bit of a pain in the neck when there are a lot of them...

Anyway, thanks again for your help,

I would suggest that you post your questions about 'WindowsMail' in that forum. You'll find both 'Slartybart' & 'endeavor' to be of the utmost help.

    just my 2 cents,

Bill, I realize this post is pretty old, but it is quite excellent. Very good information for both new members and some of us older ones. Very good job. I might bring your attention to the first sentence. It's use the Force, Luke. Yea, I know, only I would notice that.

Thanks Steve, that means a lot coming from you.

I wrote it when I first joined - had great aspirations for it, but it sits in my sig mostly unnoticed :)
When I saw that you posted here I thought, uh-oh... that's where I have the Flash Global Settings information.
I should probably look for it in this and the other Help me help you thread. That one has a lot of "broken" links since MS recycled the pages for Win8 - I just need to reorganize it and replace the URLs.

The first sentence is a bit of tongue in cheek reference to Ricky Ricardo telling Lucille Ball to use the fork, it's better with a Cuban accent followed by his unique laughter.

Use the Force? I don't get it....

I certainly would appreciate it, if you would fix those links, since I put it in my sig too. Sorry, but I have no Cuban accent, but I knew what you meant as soon as I read it, but I have to admit, when I read the first sentence, I did a double take. And yes, I loved Lucy too.

I think I fixed some, but I will make the effort to look and fix any others.

edit: After a quick review (no fixes yet) I decided to add a new "revamped" section that cross references MS and SF tuts. This shouldn't take too long, I already have both bases - all I need to do is "pretty print" it. As with any links, the information will be updated (or change) but the links might go stale.

With other members help, identifying broken links will be a breeze. "Hey Bill, this link is broken!"

I will make the effort periodically to click on every link and see where it goes.

    Thanks
