How to send .exe files thru email?

Hi, i need to send a setup file to a friend. I have zipped the file but Gmail and yahoo wont allow me to send .exe files. Is there a way to send .exe files thru email?

    Regards,
    Dinesh.

have you tried changing the file extension to .txt, for example?

then tell the recipient to change it back to .zip

    hope this works!

but then the n00b has to download winrar (or similar)...

can you not put the file up for downloading somewhere, and just email the link to the n00b?

You could upload it to your skydrive accounts' ( part of Windows Live ) public folder and let him download it from there..

had to change the filename to .doc and it took a long time to explain it to the n00b.

    Long Live the n00bs.

    Hi there Dinesh!
I have a bulgarian website for you that should help next time such a situation appears.

You can upload a file that is up to one gig big (lol) and then fill out your e-mail, the receiver's e-mail and type in a topic with other text (if any instructions are needed.
    Example:

Sorry If I have any typos...

    Edit:
    HEY LOOK, I'M SKILLED NOW!!!

    Edit 2:
You might notice this is XP.
