I find it interesting that there are 18 posts (including mine) that take a poke at Fox News and republicans in general, that as soon as someone stands up to defend Fox News he is told to Chill out... What's good for the goose...
Tews, as is so often the case, your comment is fair and balanced. Let us, nonetheless, examine a Beckish O'Retort in Fox-like detail.

Actually, you're wrong, Murdoch, who owns Wall Street Journal, SKY News, Fox News and all local FOX stations is a Democrat.
No one mentioned Mr. Murdoch. The persons directly referred to are certainly not Democrats. An attack by misdirection - does not address the facts at hand.

I will use a quote to redress this gross generalization and inflammatory attack on a class of people - "you make me, everyone in my neighborhood and midwestern America "stupid", typical "urban profesisonal" nonsense."

The respondent is not in the Mid-west. He is on the East Coast. Just a detail. Lost in the hyperbole.

Stop running with what someone else says, watch FOX yourself, and make your own opinion, look at WEEKLY RATINGS: Bill O'Reilly #1 NATIONWIDE WITH AVERAGE 3,000,000 VIEWERS DAILY! FOX News TOP VEIWERS RATING for 5 or 6 of thier anchors EVERY WEEK! that says SOMETHING! God, I hate ignorant people.
The medium is the message - Shouting and hate. Talking directly to God. Long-term residual side effect of watching only Fox News. Reason lost to fairness and balance.

LISTEN TO THE BYSTANDERS, you boo us, mock us, put us down, yet we are civilized and walk right on pass you. GROW UP.
    An excellent example of civility.

About my little joke, "No, they are Republicans" - I am a card carrying member of the Republican Party, and have been for much longer than Tebo has been alive. I do not watch Fox News.
I may not live in the midwest NOW, I'm originally from central Illinois, AWAY from the political machine of Chicago where "The One" is from. My entire family is from Illinois/Indiana/Missouri/Oklahoma area so, I pretty much know what I'm talking about.

I never will understand why it's ok for liberals to insult conservatives but when the tables are turned all the liberals howl and scream about conspiracy theories and use insults, they can dish it out but they can't take it. I for one like to hear both sides so I can decide for myself but I can't hear the truth on CNN, NBC or CBS why are they not reporting about the Van Jones fiasco, this is just one very public example that the people of the US have a need to know, we need to know what type of voices have the president's ear. I was raised in a very democratic family but I can no longer agree with their policies.

Oh, love how everyone is trying to "back down" telling us to not turn this political, it turned political the second the OP posted the video. Nice try at spin.

You raise a good point. I really do not use the TV to get news outside of the local area. Most of my news is consumed in print and from a variety of web sources - some of which are print analogs.

Controversy after controversy - one thing never changes. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

My early career was journalism. Luckily, I turned a corner and was led elsewhere. I think the press has succumbed to mass media - and abbrogated their responsibility to the people.

OT - The Glenn Beck story was alarmist nonsense.

I get my news from Drudge Report, everything on one page that is SIMPLE to use and read. Before anyone gets their panties in a bunch, it is NOT like what all the liberal scream it to be. If anyone has ever looked at it and clicked on the links, they all go to different sources from all over the freaking world for different points of views. Not just America. Plus the topics are right to the point, no vagueness.

Actually the reason was quite clear.

The fox news "bashing" was done in a generally light and humours way. THe retort was completely uncivil and emotionally out-of-control.

That's why one is given a pass and the other wasn't.

The "pro fox" statements were properly derided for their hysteria. Had a thoughtful reply been made, no censure would have followed.

Maybe I "went out of hand" because this crap is the norm in America. I'm sick and tired of it.

What's reported and what's believed are up to the individual...
However this fact also presents a conundrum in and of itself...
