I usually start with Avast then Firefox. This is my list which will be pared down when my retail version arrives next week as there are some redundant apps there.
I'd like to backup Firefox as I've got it just like I want at the moment, with 5 speed dial screens-main, news, tech, music/gaming and "stuff" (retail sites)
I find this greatly improves my browsing experience.
I've just been trying FEBE but cant seem to get it to work (perhaps my stupidity) and I understand Mozbackup is tied to Firebird which I don't use.
    cheers, John

    Hi John,

Best thing with firefox is to just move the entire profile folder to somewhere external to the system drive - I always moved it to My data drive.

When you reinstall you can simply run Firefox.exe -P in the search box and use the profile manager to create a new user and point the folder to the copy you made - this will allow you to keep your Firefox settings even down to your browsing history.

Firefox will run happily with the profile anywhere as long as it's told where to look

Oh almost forgot standard profile is here ....

    C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\...

profile is the funny named folder

Some fun, and Office, is all I need.
+ one game, ReVolt, not listed here. It doesn't require installation. Yet, works perfectly on Win 7.
