What Did You Do This Weekend?

Well I hope yours was as good as mine. I installed programs and got my upgraded PC going. I have a new ATX Motherboard, new Intel Core i3 CPU, 4 GB DDR3 1333 RAM and drum roll...............a SSD. I got everything going OK. I had more than enough questions to all of you before I started foreseeing problems that did not exist, so I thank all of you for your help. The SSD is really fast. It boots in about 30 seconds and shuts down in about 5. The programs open about one second after the click. Those of you who have one know this, but if you haven't seen one, they are fast.

Good to hear you got your PC all setup and running. An SSD always blows you away the first time you use one after switching from a HDD.

I went to visit my girlfriend in London for the weekend. She's from London, but goes to University in Lancaster, and is at home for the summer. The weather was miserable all weekend, so we couldn't really do much, but it was still a good weekend nonetheless.

Got to see my nephew & his band play.
Took the ex out to dinner, got some divorce jazz out of the way.
Re-arrainged the solar array for an addition at camp.

Glad you got things up and running.

Spent most of the weekend inside with the A/C cranked. Did get out of the house on Saturday: put my new staggered tire set on the Mustang and took it to the local road course for some white-knuckle fun Nothing like forgetting which turn you're on and having the back end of your new car break loose in the apex of a turn. Spent the rest of the day trying to let the adrenaline wear off.

Most of the weekend I watched my grass grow. We have been in a heat wave with no rain. Rain started Friday and we are looking for more for the next week. It has been in the mid 90's for a while and Saturday it was 77 with heavy rain. I sat on the patio and watched it rain and heard the grass cheering and just watched it grow.

Spend 4hrs Sunday morning looking for my dog. She doesn't like thunder and she ran off when a big clap hit near by. We have about 400 homes in our subdivision and I drove many trips around it to see if I could find her. After a few hours, wife and I stated going door to door asking if anyone saw her. We had only gone about a block when my neighbor called and said she was at our back door barking to get in. She acted like nothing was wrong. She is 15 and definitely has an attitude.

Bandmates out on vacation, spent my time catching up on my backlog of games and trying out a couple of new recipes. Nothing's changed, still mediocre at "real" dishes while great at desserts.
