    How about using flash memory instead of RAM(of course modified to last longer)
    No boot, Instant ON!
    I meant that you press the power button and after 1 sec you see the Welcome screen!

    If only they can get NANDs to erase page by page instead of block by block so that TRIM will not be necessary then I can die old and satisfied with da. . .I mean speed.

    Now this looks very promising but also expensive, it also should've had a regular HDD backup instead of a CF backup. Check out the Tech Report article:
