    Hell, that puts him above 90% of the motorcyclists in rural areas in my country - at least he's wearing something on his head. Of course, it's probably not going to help - instead of just cracking his skull open when he wipes out, he'll crack his skull open and have pieces of bucket embedded in it.

    The other chap's hard hat is probably as safe! One of the funniest things I ever saw was a dog riding pillion sat behind his/her master on a motorbike with what looked like a homemade helmet on. Very contented and smug the dog looked - well possibly not that smug perhaps a little proud.
