    Upgraded my PC again.

Upgraded from an i7 2600K and Asus P8P67 Pro Rev 3.1 to an i7 3770K and Asus Sabertooth Z77.

No issues at all during the upgrade, so now my original Windows 7 Ultimate install from August of 2009 has survived 3 major upgrades with no issues.
Started with a Q6600 and Asus P5Q Pro, then to an i7 870 and Asus P7P55D-E, then to an i7 2600K and Asus P8P67Pro Rev 3.1, and now to the i7 3770K and Asus Sabertooth Z77.

Pic of the new setup, looks really stealthy,

    and my old boxes.

Killer build, Manny! I'm quite envious!

I like how you've tied up all the cables into neat little bundles and squared them all away.

You seem to have color coordinated all of your other components too!

    Your rig get's a deserved A!

    Thanks

I used to have a bunch of red sata cables but swapped them out to black a few weeks ago when I installed the second SSD.
And I am really digging the stealthy look of the mobo.

Here us the 2600k with the jumble of red cables,

Do you see much of a performance increase? What types of things do you do, and how big of a difference did it make?

Nope, don't see any increase in performance yet, machine still feels the same, but it was a free upgrade to the latest tech, so I am not complaining.
the main thing I do most of the time is watch movies and TV shows on the PC. But I do play games, like Battlefield 3, Modern Warfare 3, and Diablo 3.
Do some transcoding here and there for my iPad, this is where the CPU comes in handy, seeing all 8 threads at 100% transcoding the files like crazy.

My little brother upgraded his 2600K to a 3770K yesterday for free as well since he doesn't want to have a slower PC than me, lol.

How in the world are you both getting "free upgrades"? I would upgrade my stuff as well if it were free.
