Considering a new office desktop - build or buy?

I find it is very easy to build your own PC nowadays, most boards and plugs are coloured coded, I have build 3 over the years for myself (they last about 4 years till upgrade) and 3 for my sons, and are a LOT cheaper doing it yourself. (Out of curiosity I asked my local PC dealer, who is very cheap, to install the CPU heatsink for me and he was going to charge me $30AU for 2 seconds work!, so I said stuff you, and did it myself).

I accept from previous comments that some people may feel it is beyond them. If you are very risk averse then maybe it is.
Once you change your HDD for the first time you think - that wasn't that hard.
Once you build your PC for the first time you think - that wasn't that hard.

If you accept some, probably small, risk of failure then do it or else buy a built one.
