Burger King Employee Busted by 4Chan for Stepping on Lettuce

In the old days 4chan would have encouraged this behaviour...
Good to see they got him though, the dirty bugger
From what I've seen 4chan only encourages behaviour if it doesn't affect them directly. Like the forever alone flash mob.
Not exactly. It's always been about the lulz (especially the schadenfreude type). In this case, outing the guy who posted the pics.
Try to remember these guys are exactly like anon - anybody can post there. I can guarantee you there were plenty of others who found the original picture hilarious. Who also found the subsequent doxing and outing hilarious as well. Trying to group 4chan behaviour is like saying all guys do X, or all girls do Y.
Having said that, the moron posting the picture was setting himself up for failure. If you hang out at 4chan and still don't know that images carry extended information then you deserve the reaming you get. Like this guy did. I highly doubt it was done because it was the right thing to do; the image simply contained data that was too juicy to pass up.

Just reading the title of this thread had me in fits of laughter.

I guess that I'm behind the times (as usual), because I'm wondering what kind of camera includes GPS data in it's photos?

Smart phones, pads, pods, tablets and most newer digital cameras.
Everything with GPS.
It has been in the news etc. for the last couple of years at least.

Thanks, but since I don't use any of those devices, except the camera, and mine is several years old and of a cost class that doesn't offer much in the way of newer technology, so I wasn't aware.
How did they extract the GPS data from the photo?
