    Chrome vs Firefox>?

I have had both as well as Op, Safari.

Only Safari comes in 2nd, Chrome is the fastest by far and runs clean.

I find chrome quite slow on Windows 7, although this could be caused by the hack needed to get it to work in 7 x64.

Really? Interesting. I was going to try X64 but depend on audio programs and need the 32. Maybe I will try it. But you could be correct. They haven't delivered on the mac either.

For sure Chrome is really good and I am picky with browsers. I am. I have tried everything and there's something about that I really, really, like. From selecting new tabs to searching in the main url tab and speed. I have timed all the browsers and it really is the fastest. Plus, I really like how it has the windows that show most recent (Sevenforums always on one thumbnail, snicker) and I know others have the thumb nails, they feel clunky. Wish I.E. could get their stuff together and release a super browser but there is something noisy about it. Plus if I think Chrome is clean, it even makes firefox look noisy now. Problem is, there are sites from time to time that don't support Chrome and will just launch FF or IE if I need to.

Good luck on the development for the 64. If I update and find a fix, I'll let you know. :)

The precursory releases of upcoming Firefox releases are codenamed "Minefield", as this is the name of the trunk builds. Development for the 3.1 releases takes place on the Mozilla trunk (mozilla-central), and pre-release versions are available based on the Mozilla 1.9.1 branch.

Congratulations! You've downloaded or compiled a "trunk build". This means that you've volunteered to become part of the testing community. Helping out won't take much of your time, doesn't require special skills, and will help make future versions of Mozilla Firefox even better.

    Warning:
This is NOT A FINAL OR PRE-RELEASE VERSION. This program is provided without any guarantees of stability, so please use it at your own risk. It is recommended that you back up your profile regularly, as there may be bugs that corrupt your data. If that sounds scary, you'd probably be better off with the latest version of Firefox that you can download here.

I actually had to ask because that is *only* what I knew it as.

Ask dmex, he should remember me asking over at the Vista x64 forums....
