indeed they were. the last run with dial up i had (haxzord cellphone on a piggyback server) was always a treat. would sometimes take up to a minute to downlad a single wallpaper. hell, it was free, so i wasnt complaining

This customer is using a 512 ADSL connection and they are using a different ISP to Telkom SA. So it would depend on how that ISP is shaping the account. With this said however our broadband this side sucks all in all.

We are also restricted to bandwidth I have two broadband accounts of 3 Gig each. Every day I get my usage report that looks like the below I won't go into other short falls we have to contend with as well. We are most likely paying more for this than what any other country is

    The cost is as follows

    Broadband account 3Gig = $68.48 per month
ADSL line rental = This you also pay for, don't have the cost of this right now but add this to your Broadband account

    ADSL bandwidth usage report
    Blended Usage Uploaded - 264MB or [0.25GB]
    Downloaded - 1.84GB
    Combined Total - 2.10GB
    Percentage used - 42.10%
    Status - Not Capped

    Local Usage
    Uploaded - 0Bytes or [0.00GB]
    Downloaded - 0Bytes or [0.00GB]
    Combined Total - 0Bytes or [0.00GB]
    Local Bandwidth Allocated - 30.00GB

You will notice that we have a good size of local bandwidth, the only problem is most .co.za site are still hosted international because the high cost of hosting in South Africa. I know I do all my hosting in the USA and it is still far cheaper for me even with a 7 to 1 exchange rate
