Like that old story about a noble British gentleman who called his closest friend and golf partner one morning regarding a round of golf they had agreed for later that day:

"Cheerio James, it is Charles here. I am so terribly sorry but something has come up. Would you mind if we met first at 3 PM instead of 2 PM? The bar maybe?"

James agreed. At 3 PM when they finally met James asked Charlie the reason for the delay. "Oh, my wife was murdered earlier today. The constable told me I had to wait the detective superintendent to question me. He was expected to arrive at 2.15; I figured it would be over in 15 minutes and then half an hour drive here."

"Oh I see. Anyway, good that you could come. Perhaps a whisky before we start?"

i suspect the cheeky chapie who got out his car was set to give the cameraman a slap but when he realized he was on camera decided to behave.
either that or its because he was a lilly livered southerner.

The statement given in that clip by Will McAvoy, the character played by Jeff Daniels is so true, I was going to post that clip when I first saw the episode but knowing the exaggerated patriotism most US citizens tend to have, I decided against.

This is a negative thing?

No Britton, I did not mean it like that. I am a patriotic Finn and proud of it, I find patriotism is a positive thing.

With exaggerated I meant that usually Americans or USA as a nation do not allow any critics regarding the topics this character Jeff Daniels is playing was talking about, especially coming from a foreigner. As far as I know and have experienced, we (I mean globally: we as inhabitants of the planet Earth) are not allowed to question America's superiority in any field.

I was just explaining why I decided not to post that clip.

Kari, I mostly agree with the statements made by the character there. The last part of it, when he quits yelling and cussing points out that we humans should care more for each other. Most, most, every country can be the greatest in the world. Their leaders however not so much, but that is a discussion for another place.
