I can't be the only one with mixed feelings about this. As much as it is good to hear and see them, it's hard to hear Robert's voice nowadays when you have the original versions ingrained on your soul the way I do. I was hesitant to buy it for this very reason, but it was on sale on Amazon the other day for $1.99 (the MP3 version) so I got that. I'm still agonizing over whether or not to buy the DVD.
I actually wore this album out when it was first released and I mean till it was unplayable........ and I STILL like it
3 ace tracks there, Gary - cheers, mate!!
Hey, Indiana - I deffo agree, "Sweet Baby James" is a beautifully created album - a real gem..
and like you, I played it to death - it's such a lovely thing - I shall never tire of hearing those tunes - pure magic..!!
- his first album on Apple records was also a smashing record.. and it still sounds fresh and alive..
this album remains firmly at the top of my list, it stands as a true masterwork..
every track is staggeringly beautiful, and each is imbued with so much passion,
and played so delicately - it's charm never ceases to completely captivate me
- it remains a lasting testament to an amazing ensemble of brilliant musicians..
- a true and timeless classic..
heard this on "the walking dead" googled the lyric found the tune, not a group ive listened to before.
im ashamed to say i was unaware fink is from cornwall ,i need to get out more.
