Explanation of "QUOTE" and "MULTI" Buttons ?

I have searched for examples of use of above two buttons when answering posts here and have read the Forum Rules but haven't been able to find explanations of their use.

I am pretty happy with the use of the "QUOTE" button but do not know how to use the "MULTI" button .

Any help would be appreciated .

This is what you get when you hit the quote button.

This is what you get when you hit the quote button.
This is what you get when you hit the multi button on the first post and then just the quote button on the second post, if you want 2 for more quotes you just keep hitting the multi button untell you get to the last one you want to quote and then hit the quote button and all of the other quotes will be there.

    Thanks for the reply.

I'll try it out a few times before I mark it solved.
