    Mobile Hotspot

Hi Guys -- I just ran across this and have not seen one of these before. Can you take this anywhere, plug it in and you have a wifi? Is a subscription of some sort required?

Basically it's just a portable wifi router, you need to either plug it into a cat5 or set it to repeat an existing wifi signal.

I have one of these which is the same thing and it's been a life saver at many a hotel where the wifi is poor or they only give you a wired connection.

Oh, I see, it just amplifies what is already there. I thought it would be too good to be true that you plug it in and have an instant wifi. Thanks for the reply.
