Firefox question

right now my homepages in FF are a few blogs, would it be possible to have each blog only open if there is a new post on it? it would make it faster and easier to see only the blogs with new posts on them, anyone know if this is possible? or some kind of similar alternative?

Well, not directly ads homepages, AFAIK, but there are extensions that you can install (Mr. Uptime comes to mind, but that is a bit bulky to use if you're not used to it) that can monitor pages and notify you when a page has been updated.

Actually, Mr. Uptime checks for pages that are unavailable and reports when they are working again, but the same principle can be applied to 'working' pages. Perhaps not by Mr Uptime, but I know there are at least a coupe of extensions that can do as you want them to.
