Windows 7: iPod Owners - Do you transfer from ipod like a hdd?

I love my iPod Touch. It is great. I use the solitaire app every day.

My one and only complaint (besides it being made by Apple [not because I hate them, but because of their policies]) is that you HAVE to use iTunes. You can't drag and drop...

I've found out the Zune makes you use software to manage your collection also. So basically there is no high capacity MP3 player to use as a big flash drive with music playing capability. Not to mention that the iPod Classic is now the only high capacity mp3 player still being produced, I found out the Zune 80 and Zune 120 are discontinued and only what remains in stock by retailers is what is out there.

I definately won't be buying either one, but there is no alternative, all I can do is wait another 3yrs before 64GB of flash memory is cheap and other mp3 players use it.

Depends what pockets you have. The new ones are nicer.

Ipod to computer music transfer?
I really hope someone can help me; I'm about on wits end. My laptop's(dell inspiron, windows 7) hardrive recently crashed, and I lost everything. And I'm trying to transfer everything from my ipod touch back to my computer. I've read about how you can do it, but whenever i plug my ipod in it...

Can't transfer music to my ipod
I have tried to transfer a playlist, as well as individual songs, no luck. I drag my playlist to the E: but it doesn't sync to my ipod. What am I doing wrong?

I have been looking everywhere for something to do what I need, transfer videos and music between my PC and iPod. All I found was iDump - which didn't work. So if anyone has got iDump working on their Windows 7 64 bit, please post do! And if anyone knows of any free software that can do video...

Hi there, i recently had to reformat my laptop and i didn't have a chance to backup all the data i have on my ipod touch (music, videos, photos etc). I was wondering if anyone can give me a guide on how to do this, or tell me some software that is free as getting all the data from scratch again...
