For those younger members or those who don't remember Americans were not the only people who died that day.

Foreign casualties
373 (excluding the nineteen perpetrators), representing just over 12% of the total number of deaths, also perished in the attacks. The following is a list of their nationalities (not accounting for some cases of dual citizenship).
Mike we remember all nations who suffered loss on 9-11-01, they will never be forgotten either.
Thank you for the list.
My hearts go out to everyone who had lost anyone on that tragic day, my sincere apologies
Watching a timeline of that whole horrific event right now. Brings back bad memories. Terror is an apt word. they terrorized us alright. It didn't have the whole effect they wanted, we don't shrink from a fight, but it did strike us to our core, and it reverberates to this day. A Guy
I wish every one of their family's the strength to go through this horrible tragedy they have to remember every year. Wish them the best.
I am so saddened (and still frightened) by the terrorists attack on 9/11. And as I watch the Ground Zero construction of the new Freedom Tower building on the site of the demolished Twin Towers --- am I the only one who thinks that the terrorists (Al Qida or some other band of zealot terrorists) are just waiting for NY to finish building the new Freedom Tower before they attack that building as well????
I am so glad to see this thread here as I was just saying to a friend the lack of acknowledgement of this sad time was so prevalent on most forums that I visit.
Yes we should never forget
