I have tried the solutions offered here. PDF, ppt, and image files will preview, but for MS Word or Wordperfect files a message appears in the preview pane that says 'This file can't be previewed.'
I do a great deal of video editing and special effects on my Windows 7 (home premium, 64bit) laptop.
