I know this is a support forum for Windows 7 so that's why I'm posting in off-topic. Anyway, I'm looking for the Terminal font in Windows XP, but I can't seem to find it. I was expecting to find it in the fonts folder, but it's not there. I don't want any links to other websites that have 'recreated' the Terminal font, just the location of it on my system. Thanks in advance.
I don't have an XP machine to test it on but it should be in the fonts folder, i think it is called 'MS Sans Serif'

Thanks for the response, Jamie. I looked in Character Map, and MS Sans Seirf and Terminal are two seperate fonts (which look different, anyway). Any other suggestions?

Anyway, I'll have to wait 'till I get home, but I seem to remember seeing 'Terminal.ttf' on Windows 7 (I'm unable to use Win7 right now because of computer problems, that's why I'm asking about Windows XP). I found this strange as I thought Terminal was a Bitmap font and not a TrueType font. Did they update it in Windows 7? I also read that Terminal is spread out into about 8 different files, but I don't know which files those are. Does anyone know?
Tried to do a file search on my XP VM. couldn't find a file with the name "terminal" on it that is relevant to a font.
I did find the Terminal font in my Win 7 fonts, in XP not so easy.
If you look at properties, font tab of cmd you can see it says it is a Terminal font, and Raster fonts is highlighted above it.

Aha, I've found more details regarding this. Apparently on Windows 7, the file for the Terminal font is dosapp.fon (and another .fon file, I can't remember the name). Like I said, I don't have access to Win7 as of right now, so I can't just go get it. On XP, I enabled 'Show hidden files and folders' and unchecked 'Hide protected operating system files (recommended), but still nothing. The text in Command Prompt still shows up just fine, and I can even use the Terminal font in Notepad.
Also, is it possible I could change dossapp.fon to dosapp.ttf without distorting it?
