Feel Like Getting Up This Sunday Morning?

    Alert!!

For those that like all things astronomical:

Usually, waking up before sunrise is a good way to get a head start on the day. On Oct. 21st Sunday morning, waking up early could stop you in your tracks.
Blame Halley’s Comet. Every year in mid-to-late October, Earth passes through a stream of dusty debris from Comet Halley, and the pre-dawn sky lights up with a pretty display of shooting stars.

Thanks for the heads up Anak. If I wake up early, I will have to remember to have a look. Hopefully it isn't cloudy.

It can be a little daunting to navigate the site so looking at your profile and State flag you are in Minnesota.

Use this link: Clear Sky Charts in Minnesota (Map), just pick the pin location nearest to your location.

Feel Like Getting Up This Sunday Morning?-clearsky.jpg

When that opens up, click on the link at the top shown by my red square and it will open to that location's clear sky chart for the next two days. I used Red Top only as an illustration.

When your at your desired location bookmark it for future reference.

You can click on the small individual white or colored squares on the clear sky chart grid for weather maps correlating to that days time.

How to read the grid is further on down the clear sky chart.

You may luck out, but it doesn't look good for me. That's normal for me when these things happen, the cloud cover you have now is forecasted to be over me early Sunday morning.

Something else I noticed when I visited your profile page, we both have the same birthday, August 15th, but I believe I'm a tad older, born in 1951. Maybe not?
