OCZ stock shares off 50% this week; buyout and layoff rumors

OCZ sees 'significant' loss, shares fall 43% - MarketWatch

Financial statements under review, seeking delays with SEC.

OCZ will report negative gross margins and a "significant" net loss for the second quarter.

The company has $43 million in cash and $96 million in liabilities.

Apparently, OCZ is subject to many lawsuits regarding pricing discounts to OEMs.

The stock is off from $8 to $1.47 since early July through October 12. It fell from over $3 to $1.47 just this week.

Rumors of buyouts, bankruptcy, SSD support evaporating, etc.

It would make me wary of buying any of their products if I expected support.

Years ago I used them a lot, recently their prices haven't been competitive and they seem to have a lot of issues with specific hardware. I really don't know what happened back in the p4 days they were making the best ram on the market.
