Nope. No way, no how. Nyet. No, nay, never. Ain't gonna happen, even if donkeys and pigs fly. Win 8 is ok for tablets and, possibly, netbooks but for serious computing, it is too clunky.

I plan to get 2 copies of the Upgrade due to the $40 price. I am dual booting with Windows 7 HP 64bit and Windows 8 RTM 64bit from TechNet. I will stay with the dual boot until I get all new drivers and software that are compatible with Windows 8 and do more testing. In the future I may Upgrade and stay with just Win 8 but not just yet.

I tried out the consumer release version of Windows 8 and with a few tweaks, the Classic Shell, thought it wasn't too bad. That being said, there isn't any compelling reason for me to buy the upgrade, as Windows 7 does all I need it to.

What kinda tweaks? Did you get rid of metro altogether? When I tried it last year I had no idea about the desktop thingy on it and only saw metro so I quickly uninstalled it. Still seems useless.

No, I couldn't get rid of Metro, but with the Classic Shell start menu, at least it was usable. However, it was definitely not as functional as the Windows 7 desktop, which is the reason I won't be upgrading.
