SF posting: Attachments no longer enabled

I've experienced a few anomalies on SF the past two days.

1st observation: I added links to a post in one of the word games, later when I tried to add a link in the same game, I was logged out.

2nd observation: clicking on a link in a post does not open the link, I can Right click to open the link in a new tab however.

3rd observation: I can no longer add any type of attachment to a post
    paper clip - nope
    insert image - nope
    manage attachments (advanced) - nope

There is no activity, no spinning on the tab, no dialog box opens, etc - nothing, zilch, just dumb stares.

If I broke the forum rules and have been penalized, fair enough.
If a recent change to the forums or user profiles broke me, how 'bout a little love?

I've also tried changing from --SF Default (CDN) to other templates - nope still doesn't let me attach.

I am able to click on links at other sites; Yahoo, Google without problem - the links open.

    Thanks,

    Bill

    Hello Bill,

You are in good standing as usual here at SF. You would have been notified if you did do something. :)

Double check in the address bar in IE to make sure that you have http: and not https: at the start of the address.

You might also see if deleting your cookies, then close and reopen IE may help if it's a corrupted cookie.

    Phewwwww!

    Thanks Shawn,

    not HTTPS

I delete cookies on exit, but will check. I have been trying to preserve certain cookies, and trash the crumbs. Maybe between the delete options, preserve favorites website data something is out of sync or misaligned.

I'll also double check cCleaner exclude cookies, ya never know if something got confused.

You confirmed things for me and gave me an few ideas where to start - we shall see =:>

Hmmm, I'll have to retrace recent mods - should keep better notes!!!!!

    Cookies weren't the issue.
I'll try a few manual changes, scan for malware and then perhaps a SR.

IE 9 in case anyone wondered.

    Ok, I'm an idiot!

Pop-up blocker set to high and notify was unticked

Sorry to have wasted anyone's time. An admin can spank me now

I understand the attachment issue - all methods use pop-up windows, it surprises me that a link in a post is treated the same as a pop-up (only on links posted inside a post)

    C'est la vie!

    marking solved

I'm not going to worry about the logging out thing - it only occurred a few times a day or two ago. Perhaps maintenance on the site and my actions at the time clashed. Not important unless it happens again.
