Thats true..... a very dramatic statement ..... but , I don't know.... guess I'm just lucky to NOT have something I feel that passionate about. Or the need.
There was a similar house in the middle of a highway between Frankfurt/Germany and Wiesbaden. They routed both double lanes (east and west) around it. I always wondered how the people got in and out - except by car. I have not been there for many years. Maybe they finally moved.
In White Plains, NY, they also built a big parking lot around a house - across from the LaReserve hotel.

Guess they are everywhere. It is their home and they don't want to move.

The upraised value is paid and you are removed from the property.That row of houses is gone and the strip mull is built. If the government wants to build a road your property will be bought and the road will be built. The only thing that is argued is the price the government pays for your property. It is a long fight just to stop building on historical grave sites and battle fields from our the Civil War. (1861-1864).
