    I think we were there in June. It was in 1965 coming from North Bay in Canada - with a travel trailer. As a European, I was most impressed by the distances you had to go to get places. In a similar distance I could have crossed all of Europe north to south.

    June and July are the worst months for bugs up here in the northern part of the state, so I am not surprised that the black flies chased you out. I have driven from Minnesota down to the south tip of Texas and also out to the west coast, so I can relate to traveling long distances. I'd have to look it up, but I think maybe Minnesota is about the same size in area as Germany.

    I stand corrected. Germany is the equivalent to Montana, which is larger than Minnesota.

    Yeah, Germany got little after the 2 world wars. In 1910 it was about twice as large. Now most of it is in Russia, Poland and France.

    My god its cold today. -4c outside and it can't be far off that inside either as my cpu is 25c and my gpu's 24c.
    Winter is definately not my favourite time of year
