I called Comcast, listened to a big menu spiel, gave my phone number for verification, more menu crap. Finally got to "Press 4 to speak to a human"...more menu crap. The human finally answered again asked for my phone number, asked what he could do for me today and thanks for calling Comcast. I said my download speed is 2.85Mbs and I want to know why. He was sorry for this and then asked for my address, more verification.
Now he has my account and asked for the last 4 of my Social Security number, I told him and also added the name of my first born child, just in case. this all took about 6 minutes and no help because I said I was fed up in some colorful language which they didn't understand. that was 4 separate "verifications", I think he was next going to ask what color my underwear was.
