What are its advantages over Firefox?
For the first, it lets me to select the rendering engine independently for every site / page with one click. If a page works better in IE I simply switch to Trident engine, for another site I use WebKit engine (used by Chrome and Safari, for instance).

Most IE add-ons work when using Trident, most Chrome plugins when using WebKit.

When installing first time you can create an account. Log in to your account and the current PC you are using will get all your settings, favorites, history, passwords and usernames, everything. When first time logging in on a new PC you can set that PC as private or public. Public computers do not allow "Remember Me" function, instead you are automatically logged out from your account when you close the browser.

When I'm away I have a portable Maxthon with me on a USB stick.

I really like Maxthon. I usually browse using its Split Screen function:

I love FF Sync. I can move from PC to PC and my latest of 270 favorites are all loaded and alphabetical, my history is in the URL box just by typing a key word - all in real time.

Just be sure not to delete all of your favorites from one linked browser without unlinking it first.
as an extra back up install xmarks for firefox,
it syncs to all your pc's that you install it on, keeps you logged into the account via firefox and away you go, even if your computer blew up you still have your bookmarks on the xmarks server, every time you save a bookmark it uploads them when you close the browser, they still stay on your pc locally and they load from the server on browser start up .

Xmarks | Bookmark Sync and Search
Thanks Booh. I will try it. But I like the way Firefox syncs my Bookmarks and history so only really need the backup it provides. Will it interfere with Firefox' sync I have now?

doubt it will interfere, you will have a nice back up though, and if you want to log onto the xmarks site from an " outside " computer then you still have your bookmarks at hand, in a different country or state.
it will also back up your history and last open tabs if you want, you configure it to at set up.

its not often you see photos of the youngsters in a newspaper this one here shows them, somehow it seems all the more tragic when you see the youth .
sad story all round, shame the kids never had a better start in life too.
perhaps they wouldnt be where they are now, that said there are plenty of kids have crap starts in life dont end up juvenile murderers

The fact that the mother of at least one of those convicted has another son in prison for murder tends to suggest Nurture not Nature so sad indeed.

One person on twitter suggested we find a low lying island to incarcerate them on, to get some good from the rising sea levels due to climate change

Today, a news story that I saw in the morning made me so sad that I'm still thinking and imagining things.

A family consisting of a wife, husband and 2 children met with an accident on a highway. The wife and one of the children were killed on the spot. The entire cctv footage was shown where I saw the husband and the daughter crying and shouting for help - his wife and 2nd daughter were lying dead infront of them. Nobody even stopped there to see what happened...dunno for how many hours they cried like that shouting and mourning for help...these humans have turned totally inhuman these days...where has humanity gone? What's up with these people I dont understand... People lying dead and nobody even caring to look at?? What the hell...I can't describe my disgust in words anymore...

i think the judge summed the mother up pretty accurately

Passing sentence on Linda Doran, Judge Goldstone, the Recorder of Liverpool, told her: "You are a pathetic and tragic character. You have just seen your two youngest sons sent to detention for a murder. You have another son who is serving life for murder. There are not many parents who have that sort of personal agony to bear. But then again not that many mothers would have shown themselves to be either so unwilling or unable to shoulder the responsibility of motherhood as you have."
