I have an HP Laptop myself, but was able to re-install a cleaner version from the installation DVD's that I ordered from HP. I have a ProBooks (business model), so they sent the installation disks to me for free.

You would still get a cleaner install by following Gregrockers tutorial!

I'm trying to get my step-brother to remove all the bloatware from his Windows 8 Packard Bell, but it's so difficult learning to use Windows 8, that I've redirected him to look at the Windows 8 forums, but so far I don't think he's bothered; seems more interested in updating Skype and going on Facebook all day.

Not really, because the Windows installation DVD I got, only had the OS and nothing else. And the driver and software DVD let me choose what I wanted, so it worked out quite well.

I've just been woken up to a blinding light and a whirring sound, only to find that there's a police helicopter circling around our house and so far two police cars have come down the drive. This guy better run fast!

Now, who do I phone about my noise complaint
