I have found that Cold-EZE is usually pretty good at heading off a budding infection. There are times I've taken it at the onset of a scratchy throat or a feeling of oncoming nasal congestion, and found that I'd be back to normal the next day.
This time, the scratchy throat combined with inflamed neck glands came on rather suddenly. Within about two hours I was feeling crappy. The Cold-EZE was too late. Woke up with that kind of cough where it burns and you get that "smell of blood" aroma that follows. So, this has been a lost day. Speaking of which, I've been watching LOST...
Anyway, I remembered that I have some juice oranges in the fridge, so I fired up the cheap Toastmaster juicer and sipped the orange elixir. I'm not sure if it's partially due to the placebo effect, but I feel a little better. :)
Doc thank you for the correction I'm having to use this tiny keyboard on the tablet , my laptop is all messed up.
Yes, keep Zicam in the truck, the quick dissolve tablets. I keep Cold-Eze at home, I think they work better, but take 15 to 20 minutes to dissolve, and leave your mouth feeling/tasting very odd. Makes everything taste funny for a long time. That's what I meant by zinc lozenges. Have taken them at 1st sign for last several colds, they do definately reduce the severity. Take them for 3 or 4 days. Feeling run down today, but no cough or anything the last several colds I have gotten. A Guy
A Guy that's one reason why I like those swabs , once in the nostril, that's it , no after taste.
I hope you,ll be feeling chipper again soon, I really dislike feeling bad or rundown.
Thanks M'Lady, not feeling it tonight, usually help on Saturdays, can't seem to concentrate tonight ;(
A Guy
Hope you get better soon Bill, so far this winter I've managed to keep the infections away but I doubt it will last.
I hope you soon feel better A Guy. I have been to our meeting and walked Gracie as usual to-day. What's wrong with your Laptop LADYPINKtomato1?.
